Research at the Department of Forensic Medicine
The purpose of our research is to integrate basic science with applied science in forensic medicine.
Our aim is to generate new knowledge that can be used in diagnostics in forensic anthropology, chemistry, genetics, pathology and clinical forensic medicine.

We study new methods for the identification and quantification of drugs, pharmaco- genetics, the in vitro conversion of drugs, the risk of intoxication with drugs, the impact of drugs in the traffic.

The research projects at the Section of Forensic Genetics focus on investigations of genetic polymorphisms, sudden cardiac death, pigmentation genes and new DNA technologies that can be used in forensic, population and medical genetics. >>

International human rights work, forensic imaging, mainly CT scanning, immuno- histochemical detection of cardiomyopathies, morphometric methods in evaluation of cardiopulmonary anomalies, death due to a drug overdose.
