Research in forensic anthropology and bioanthropology
Based on skeletal material, we conduct research into, amongst others:
- Health and diseases of past populations
- Dietary habits of the past
- Migrations
- Human proportions (morphology).
For example, based on image analysis and scans, we also conduct research into:
- Mummies
- Fossils
- 3D reconstructions
- 3D printing of scans
- Virtual excavations of compounds, including urns.
Professor Jytte Banner is our Head of Section of Forensic Pathology. Chief Physician Christina Jacobsen is the Head of the Section of Forensic Anthropology and Bioanthropology.
